I do not want this blog to serve as my very own soapbox. Unlike some of my fellow Americans, I believe political opinions should be private opinions, expressed and affirmed only when necessary but with a great sense of tact.

However, as I witness the politicization of the recent tragedy in Newton, Connecticut from both sides of the American divide, I would be remiss if I did not say anything.

Let us remember this tragedy not as a galvanizing moment for politic; let us remember the children.
